13 States defied the British crown and the war started in South Carolina. We won that war at enormous cost, wiping out 80% of our army in the process. 27 years later the war of 1812 against the British started again in South Carolina. We lost that war, Congress being forced to sign the national bank charter. 48 years later, again 13 states used the exact same grievances to leave the Union, to save their people from Federal despotism. Again, that war started in South Carolina. Dozens of cemeteries hold tens of thousands of Americans who fought and died for freedom. A national tragedy occurred this month as Obama’s propaganda machine ordered that flag of freedom and heritage removed from sight. Like ISIS, he seeks to expunge the historic symbols of liberty from earth.
