“They chipped his tooth. They kicked him in the face,” said Solis.
She says they were walking to their car after the River Parade when they notices a fight at Alamo Plaza. Officers were breaking it up, but she says they had the wrong people. “I yelled out police brutality because the cops were beating the crap out of the guy for no reason,” said Solis. She says that angered officers.

Her 13 year old son tried to come to the rescue. “Just because he stood and did not give the officers the authority to grab him and beat the crap out of him,” said Solis.
Solis says she, her son and Solis’ teenage nephew and niece were all arrested, charged with interfering with the duties of a public servant. “We did not interfere, nothing. We did not ever touch a police officer,” said Solis.
In response to the accusation S.A.P.D. released this statement: “Supervisors are aware of the incident. If anyone wishes to file a complaint they can call S.A.P.D. Internal Affairs at 207-7365.
Solis says she will file that complaint on Monday. Then she’s suing. “My dream job was to be an officer. Now, that I see what they do to people out there, so what’s the point of even being a police officer anyway?” says her son.Source
