With a new album coming out later on in the year plus a couple of newly released songs by Jaaji and Chelsey June we thought this would be the perfect time to reconnect with Twin Flames Music and see how they have been holding up over the last couple of months. We also got a chance to finally try out our new mixer board to play the new releases and, for the most part, it worked out well but not without a couple of electronic glitches which we seem to experience on our show for whatever reason!
“Battlefields” is their new song which is a surprising departure from music the band has released in the past with more exploration into pop and synth-heavy sounds. The new song covers the subject of mental health, one that hits home for the band. “Battlefields” is the first song to be released from their third studio album OMEN – due out later this year.
We also played “Grace Too” which is a terrific cover originally by the band Tragically Hip, a tribute to Gord Downie and his incredible work to further reconciliation.
Then, in the second hour, our dear friend, also from Canada, Asena Moon joined us as we chatted about what her experience has been like over the last few months of all of the craziness that has been occuring to the whole world. It was both fun AND informative and we’re willing to bet that you will be able to identify a LOT with what we talked about here!
