A jury for each class is appointed to conduct the quizzes. It is advisable to include students of X – XI grades in the jury for junior classes. To conduct the quiz, the class is divided into teams. For the comprehensive answer the whole sum of points is accrued, for the answer with insignificant shortcomings – decreases by 1 point, for the answer with essential shortcomings on 2 points, for the wrong answer points are not appointed.
The question is put before the whole class, the one who wants – answers, the account is kept, both individual and team. For clarity and raising the competitive spirit, the table is drawn with chalk on the board.
Another version of the quiz question is prepared by students independently for the quiz. Teams compete, both the level of the prepared question of the team asking it and the completeness of the answer of the team answering the question are assessed.
All questions of the quiz do not exceed the scope of the research program.
Students who have demonstrated the most in-depth knowledge during the quiz can participate in the school Olympiad, the winners of which are awarded the right to represent their school in the citywide Olympiad with CO, held by the district department (city administration) of education together with the emergency department. and civil protection of the population, courses of civil defense of the region.
Organization of relay races with CO
Students of the third age group take part in the combined relay race in civil defense. The number of students in each team is not limited, it is desirable that each team had both boys and girls.
For carrying out of relays on civil defense there should be equipment of a route (directions, borders, in advance by the order of the director, the judicial office is created, the list of property is made, the documentation is prepared).

City CO courses provide ongoing methodological assistance to schools in preparing measures for civil protection. On the eve of the "Day of the Central Committee" educational and methodical meetings are held with the management of educational institutions in order to acquaint them with the recommendations of courses on the organization and conduct of events on the Central Committee, together with the Department of Education planned demonstrations.
Usually, these demonstrations are prepared in advance and held in each district of the city with the help of city CO courses. We plan a list of activities with the heads of educational institutions, with whom we always find understanding, make new proposals to improve them, and additionally conduct practical classes with commanders of non-military formations of these institutions.
It has become a good tradition to invite to the demonstration events units of the fire and rescue service "01" units of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which demonstrate their professional rescue skills. Such events are very spectacular and have a practical focus. They are needed not only for the exchange of experiences between educational institutions, but also for the practical prevention and response to emergencies. Such events are covered in the media. Therefore, each educational institution shows its creative approach, professionalism, skill to conduct events at a high methodological level.
Together with the Department of Education, the CO courses have already accumulated photo-information material, video material on the "CO Day" is used in the preparation of the following events.
