The latest insanity coming from the left is that we have no right to know what our government is doing. During a congressional hearing on Friday, Obama puppet and congressional delegate for the District of Columbia Eleanor Holmes Norton stated that the people have no right to know what goes on behind closed doors:

“You don’t have a right to know everything in a separation-of-powers government, my friend. That is the difference between a parliamentary government and a separation-of-powers government.”

After a history of violations involving David Simas, director of the Office of Political Strategy and Outreach, the White House has been attempting to claim immunity for a congressional subpoena to testify. Republicans believe that the office has been violating the federal election law by using the office as a political campaign operation.

Looks like we have another liberal in need of a history lesson, as it is pretty evident that Norton doesn’t understand the meaning of “Separation of Powers.” The framers of our Constitution designed the Separation of Powers in order to prevent one branch from becoming dictatorial. These specific checks and balances were included so each branch could ensure that one branch did not usurp their powers. This does not mean that our government-elected officials can do whatever they want behind closed doors.
