Dr David Warmflash joins me to discuss his book… MOON: An Illustrated History – From Ancient Myths To The Colonies Of Tomorrow. We talk about how old the the moon is & the various theories throughout history as to how the moon was formed. David talks about the Sumerians & Babylonians, then goes into the various lunar cults that appear in the Bible.
With it being the 50th anniversary of the Apollo moon landings this month, David shares some of his personal knowledge on NASA missions of the past. David explains why the Van Allen radiation belt isn’t the obstacle many claim it to be.
Towards the end of the show we get into moon missions of the future, with NASA aiming to head back to the moon by 2024 with a program called ARTEMIS… which just happens to be the sister of Apollo.
