EPISODE #159

AIRED: 05-21-2019

James True is an author of two mind-bending yet heart-opening books: The Spell Of Six Dragons, and his latest work, Blueprints Of Mind Control. James is an accomplished artist, a philosopher, an outdoorsman extraordinaire, and researcher like few others. He is a software engineer who has produced solutions for Autodesk, Cisco, Cure Autism Now, EMC, Stanford University, Sun Microsystems, VMWare, and The Weather Channel. Some of his code was mentioned in Wired Magazine.
He is a brilliant cartoonist with a wonderfully skewed view, (Walt LOVES it!) His True Stories series, a weekly cartoon strip, began syndication in the Kansas City New Times, January 1, 1995. (I included some of my favorites in show pic today.)
James does amazing outdoor sculpture, & has created commissioned art installations at the Black Mountain Music Festival, Hulaween, Electric Forest, The Love Burn, and Envision Costa Rica. He is also a volunteer wildlife rehabber in the high country of North Carolina and served as President of a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We follow James on Twit and have loved his TL and his regular articles at jtrue.com for a long time now!
Today, we cover a LOT, but much of the discussion is centered on his new article, The Man From Katuah, which is a wonderful work of hope for the future we here at Ironworx strive for with every episode!

“You ain’t from ’round yere, are ya, boy?” We have a bit of a dust-up in chat this morning, what with new folks finding fault in our funk and all! We hit 3 years and 300 episodes at roughly the same time, give or take an ep or two, or 14(?), and since time is like cheddar cheese, let’s all melt together for 300 more, what say? Have we smoothed it out any in all this time? Naaah!! Sauce and starch, babe, sauce and starch!...

No, it isn’t a cat-circus sideshow. Well…not on purpose, anyway. Daz Tartarian has arrived with a vengeance this morning, bringing more energy in one call than coffee’s sweet, jittery embrace. Did you miss the RESET??? Bitch better have his money! Daz shows us yet again that even though the CONtrollers may have created this beast...
