The Seaside Pointe Kindness Committee was formed at Brandywine Senior Living in Rehoboth Beach in response to the shootings at Newton, Conn. For over a year the committee has chosen random acts of kindness to bestow upon various organizations in Sussex County.

Recently, the Assisted Living group collected back-to-school items for kids in need, and the Rehoboth Beach Sunrise Rotary also pitched in by donating 46 pairs of earbuds for the students.

Shown (l-r) are Donna Winegar, executive director at Brandywine and president of the Rehoboth Beach Sunrise Rotary; Gini Sherman, resident at Brandywine and member of the Kindness Committee; and Brenda Milbourne, executive director of the West Rehoboth Community Center.
