Three people, including a married couple, were arrested for forcing the girl into prostitution

A Bangladeshi minor girl, who was kidnapped and trafficked to India and allegedly raped and forced into prostitution, was rescued by Indian police in the state of Gujarat, Times of India reported Thursday.

Three people, including a married couple, were arrested in Udhna, sub-city of Surat in Gujarat for forcing the girl into prostitution. Police have launched a search for six other people in the city and in Mumbai in connection with the crime.

The TOI website reported that following a tip-off, the police rescued the 17-year-old girl by raiding a house in Udhna where she was being forced into prostitution.
