A Sacramento television anchor at Fox 40 was arrested last week after employees at a Coach outlet store recognized her on television as the woman who stole over $2,500 worth of wallets, KCRA reports.

Sabrina Rodriguez and an accomplice allegedly stole 10 wallets from the upscale retailer Coach in March 2013, but was only recognized last week when one of the store’s employees noticed her during a local news report.

The Sacramento County District Attorney’s office filed charges of grand theft, burglary, and conspiracy to commit a crime against her, and she turned herself in to police last week. She maintains that she is innocent of the charges, and is currently out on $10,000 bail.

Her fiancé, Nicholas Gray, was arrested on unrelated arson charges stemming from a May 6, 2014 fire in the home he shares with Rodriguez. The couple claimed that the stove exploded, and police declined to comment on whether they were related to Gray’s later arrest for manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of marijuana or hashish for sale.

Fox 40 granted Rodriguez a leave of absence, and released a statement in which it said that “[t]hese charges relate to a personal situation with Ms. Rodriguez that is not related to her work at FOX40. Sabrina maintains she is innocent of these allegations.”
