Lynch first received his nickname of “Eric the Actor” after making it known that he would like to act on certain television shows that he watched. He would eventually receive minor roles on In Plain Sight, Legit, Fringe and others.

Since 2002, Lynch had listeners cracking up with his candid phone calls on the show. According to The Hollywood Reporter, his most recent appearance was last week when he revealed that his parents were taking over his caretaking duties.

Standing 3 feet tall, Lynch (who was also called “Eric the Midget”) used a motorized wheelchair to move around.

While Stern has yet to comment on the passing as of Sunday night, he had previously referred to Lynch as one of his favorite callers.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Lynch, known affectionately to Stern Show listeners as “Eric the Actor” and “Eric the Midget”, had battled poor health for years and often informed the radio show audience about his medical condition, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.

Lynch was recently called out during actor Zac Efron’s “ice bucket challenge”, but publicly declined due to medical reasons.
