According to Reuters, the number of children diagnosed with Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, or ADHD, has grown to MORE than 1 in 10, meaning almost 7 million children in this country have been labeled with a convenient, fictitious disease and subsequently drugged with harmful chemicals as a result. In some states, it’s as high as one in four. That also adds on to the “1 in 5 children with a mental disability”, according to CDC last May.
ADHD diagnoses have been rising since at least 1997, according to CDC data. Experts think that’s because more doctors are looking for ADHD, and more parents know about it.
I find it hilarious that the study failed to take into account that children as young as 4 have been considered as having ADHD if they meet “certain criteria”, and in the case of autism, even during INFANCY as demonstrated by new “studies”.
The American Academy of Paediatrics this weekend expanded its guidelines for diagnosing and treating kids with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, recommending that doctors evaluate all patients aged four to 18 who show signs of the condition.

Eye contact during early infancy may be a key to early identification of autism, according to a study funded by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), part of the National Institutes of Health.

However, it’s important to consider how many new vaccines have been put into the “immunization schedule” for children since 1997. In Medical News Today, the medical establishment finally admitted that vaccinated children (especially boys) where two and a half times more likely to have neurological disorders like ADHD and autism.
“Generation Rescue’s study is impressive and forcefully raises some serious questions about the relationship between vaccines and autism. What is ultimately needed to resolve this issue one way or the other is a comprehensive national study of vaccinated and unvaccinated children,” said Congresswoman Maloney. “The parents behind Generation Rescue only want information. These parents deserve more than road blocks, they deserve answers. We can and should move forward in search of those answers. That’s why I’ve introduced a common sense bill that would require the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to conduct a comprehensive, comparative study on the possible link between autism and thimerosal.”
From 1983 to 2007, autism rates have climbed from 1 in 10,000 children to 1 in 150 children, a growth rate of 6,000% (boys are significantly more affected by neurological disorders, accounting for approximately 80% of all cases). ADHD currently affects 1 in 13 children. In the same period, the CDC’s recommended vaccine schedule more than tripled. The simmering debate over the cause of childhood neurological disorders shows no sign of cooling, but no study had ever been done to look at unvaccinated children.
Also overlooked by many researchers is the role that gluten can play in the development of ADHD. Dr. Mercola points out:
It has long been known that people with celiac disease are also more likely to suffer from ADHD, another condition that is heavily influenced by dietary habits.
However, while the treatment of celiac disease is a completely gluten-free diet, with ADHD the most oft-cited dietary villain is sugar, whereas grains are often overlooked (even though they act much like sugar in your body).
Why does this anger me so much? Because there have been some serious “side effects” in our society directly due to the normalized use of psychopharmaceuticals in children. The medical establishment is so blatant when it comes to propagandizing their pills that they will go to all lengths necessary to prop them up as “beneficial” and “a Godsend” to our youngest members of society ; They’ll even ask the children to testify to how wonderful their drugs are:
Children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) who take stimulants such as Ritalin tend to feel the drugs help them control their behaviour and do not turn them into “robots” as many sceptics assume, a study found on Monday.
The research, which for the first time asked children taking ADHD drugs what they felt about their treatment and its effects, found that many said medication helped them manage their impulsivity and make better decisions….
But according to the results of the study, such concerns are largely unfounded, Singh said.
“The assumed ethical harms of stimulant medications were largely not supported by this study,” she said. “Children value medication because it puts them into a space where they can make good moral decisions.”
Singh added that the study’s findings were “in no way a blanket endorsement of the use of stimulant-based medicines” for ADHD, but stressed they also showed that assumptions about what ADHD drugs did appeared to be “hurting children more than the drugs”.
“With medication, it’s not that you’re a different person. You’re still the same person, but you just act a little better,” said Angie, an 11-year-old from the United States who took part in the study and was quoted in a report about its findings.
The results are likely to further fuel the debate in the United States and Europe about whether children with ADHD, some as young as four years old, should be given stimulants.
Maybe I’m the only person who “gets” this, but these drugs are quite often sold at college campuses all around the country because they are meth in a pill. Kids use adderall for more than just studying ; In fact, pharmaceutical drugs (and especially stimulants, because of their availability) have become far more common at teenage parties than marijuana, ecstasy, or any other illicit drugs.
Philly.com sheds a bright light on the subject:
Here’s what a national survey of 8th, 10th and 12th graders in public and private schools found in 2011:
- 2.1% of these teens reported that they had abused Ritalin
- 4.1% reported that they had abused Adderall in the past year.
- Compared with marijuana use at about 25%, these may not sound like high rates, but even 2 children out of 100 are too many.
Another recent national study found that calls to poison control centers related to teenaged victims of prescription ADHD medication abuse rose 76% from 1998 to 2005, which was faster than calls for victims of substance abuse generally. Scary but true. …Teens who abuse ADHD medications know where to get them. They get them from classmates or friends. Some teens who are abusing ADHD meds that have been prescribed for them legitimately may start asking their doctor for higher doses of their medication. In fact, among high school seniors these drugs are the third most commonly abused illicit drug.
Teenagers who come into contact with the ADHD drugs, whether they have their own prescription or if a friend does, do not see them in the same light as they do marijuana, cocaine or heroin. Instead of drug dealers, they are being sold by doctors and pharmacists, and they are not “drugs” but medications which have received FDA approval.
Let’s be real, here. Hollywood’s young starlets are the way they are for a reason. In the words of a recovering Adderall addict in Hollywood:
The sad thing? Everyone around me is still on this awful drug. It’s like “Invasion of the Body Snatchers” out here.
And, honestly, I mean everyone. Fellow actresses. Hipster rockers. Waiters. Children of famous people. The rich. The poor. How wealthy you are depends on if you can get a consistent dose of it, but when I quit I told my doctor not to give it to me anymore. So if I want it now, I would have to actually forage through a drug dealer, which I’m not prepared to do. It’s crazy the reputation you get on the drug, though. The other night at the Chateau someone actually asked me if I was “holding.” Unbelievable. No, Los Angeles. I am not holding.
But everyone else seems to be. It’s like an after-dinner aperitif or pot or cordials, everyone is chatting for hours and no one’s making any sense. People are just babbling and pretending that the economy isn’t falling apart. And now that I’m off of it, I do not want you hovering and buzzing around my psychic space if you are on the stuff. It’s toxic.
And when I was on the little blue pill, I was becoming toxic, too. My personality was morphing into some kind of prick day-trader, and the drugs were hitting me more and more like a car crash. I was attracting the wrong men and creating dumb controversy. Not on like a Lohan level, but flirting with it. I wouldn’t say I was a total trainwreck, but you could definitely hear the rumbling. I couldn’t even improvise my lines well. I was writing longwinded emails I regretted. I was completely shut down from intimacy. My personal relationships were getting damaged, and everyone could tell I was high, even though I was in denial and thought things were just great.
According to Melissa Melton of TruthStream Media, writing in May 2013:
A study published in the 2010 Journal of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry found a rise in the number doctor’s visits where children were being prescribed more than one psychotropic medication. The researchers concluded:
“Although little is known about the safety and efficacy of regimens that involve concomitant use of two or more psychotropic agents for children and adolescents, multiclass psychotropic pharmacy is becoming increasingly common in outpatient practice.”
In fact, one study even found the fast growing segment of the population to be described antidepressant medication was preschoolers. All told, America takes 60 percent of the world’s psychotropic drugs.
And the parents are not helping, probably because as Melissa described, they’re doped up to the gills, too!
Contributing to this sustained trend in teen medicine abuse are the lax attitudes and beliefs of parents and caregivers. In fact, nearly one-third of parents say they believe Rx stimulants like Ritalin or Adderall, normally prescribed for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), can improve a teen’s academic performance even if the teen does not have ADHD. Parents are not effectively communicating the dangers of Rx medicine misuse and abuse to their kids, nor are they safeguarding their medications at home and disposing of unused medications properly. (Read the full report here)
It seems the newest thing with some teens is participating in what is called “Pharm Parties.” At these parties, teens bring prescription drugs they collected and ingest them with alcohol. Obviously, the dangers of such parties need to be addressed in schools and universities far and wide.
Dr. Fred Baughman, a child neurologist, explains:
In 2008, I was counselling a young father from Kingston, Ont., who was in a divorce situation, and the mother insisted the children be seen by psychiatrists and the psychiatrist had made a number of diagnoses and had this one boy on large amounts of about five or six different types of medication. I helped the father author a letter to Health Canada asking where – in the case of ADHD or any psychiatric diagnosis – there is proof of a gross or microscopic abnormality.
This gentleman got a letter back from the director-general of Health Canada saying there is no gross, microscopic, or chemical abnormality in any psychiatric diagnosis; there is no objective way of verifying a psychiatric diagnosis as a disease.
That’s why psychiatry’s claims that their diagnoses are chemical imbalances is nothing but a lie and a deception. And yet, because of their financial might on the world scene, no one will challenge them. They have friends bought and paid for in government and in all of the governmental health-care agencies.
Here in the States, as of 2007, the Centers for Disease Control announced that 5.4 million U.S. schoolchildren five to 17 years old had ADHD. And you can be sure that they have all been on ADHD drugs, which are, for the most part, amphetamines, which are known to be addictive, dangerous, deadly.
I’ve heard estimates of 20 per cent of schoolchildren in the U.S. with a psych diagnosis and who were on psych drugs. It’s exploding, it’s increasing all the time.
When it’s a total fraud, you don’t call it overmedicating. There is no such thing as ADHD as a disease, so there is never justification for it. It’s a total fraud.
What is there to gain from diagnosing children with ADHD?
Ritalin has passed $1 billion a year in sales. Ritalin is no longer the top ADHD drug in the U.S. I think Adderall, which is made up of amphetamines, passed Ritalin a few years ago in market share.
It’s a complete fraud, they’ve invented diseases for which their drugs are a cure. The rate of diagnosing ADHD has been going up by a million a year in the U.S. This is a market strategy.
The book Selling Sickness: How the World’s Biggest Pharmaceutical Companies Are Turning Us All Into Patients [by Ray Moynihan and Alan Cassels] talks generally about inventing diseases for which to sell drugs. In the foreword of that book, the authors quote the former president of Merck Pharmaceutical Co., Henry Gadsden, who once said he was anxious to find ways to market his products to normal people, just like the Wrigley chewing gum people did. This was kind of an after-the-fact confession they were trying to market drugs to normal people, and calling all psychological dilemmas diseases for which they needed a pill. This was the strategy.
It’s almost unimaginable, it’s almost unthinkable that this has been going on, but that’s exactly what’s been going on.
How would you diagnose a child that was considered to have ADHD?
Look at the criteria that are used to call a child ADHD. They talk out of turn, they don’t sit still, they wiggle around too much in their seats, they are impulsive, disorderly, and so on. It’s a bunch of behaviours that are seen in just about every child at some stage of their life. This is by design; they have taken kind of irritating, bothersome, disruptive behaviours in children and have kind of cobbled them together and called it a disease.
They get a lot of parents to buy it because a lot of parents are now busy with their job in the workforce and there’s no longer a full-time parent in the home, and so, “Here’s why Johnny or Janey is such an irritant to me, they’ve got ADHD.” It takes the pressure entirely off the parent for not being a presence and for not being there full-time to mould the behaviour of the child, and they’re calling these behaviours a disease and saying we’ve got a pill for it. That’s very seductive. That’s a far more appealing analysis than, “Gee, you’re divorced, there’s no one in the home to discipline the child real time,” and so on.
These are not diseases, they are behaviours. Today, you hang a psychiatric label on a child, you surely stigmatize the child and these drugs are exceedingly dangerous. In 2005, there were several deaths in Canada of young children from Adderall. It was temporarily taken off the market, but then the power of the industry won out and Adderall’s back on the market. Pure amphetamines.
When you put all of the evidence together, a brave new world forms, one that finds the majority of our children ingesting pills every day that make it impossible – as well as undesirable – for them to revolt against tyranny.
